Terms

Anvaira Terms of Service

Version 1.1 · Effective October 23, 2026

Anvaira LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Anvaira," "we," "us"). Contact: operations@theanvaira.com

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Anvaira website, store, accounts, My Products, Formula Decoder, Discover, and the Lucy AI assistant (together, the "Services"). By creating an account, checking the agreement box, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy from us. If you're 13 to 17, you may use the Services only with a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. The Services are not for children under 13. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account, and the information you give us must be accurate.

2. Lucy, our AI assistant

Lucy is an automated artificial-intelligence tool that answers questions about skincare, ingredients, and products. This section also applies to ingredient analyses, product matches, and other automated results shown in Formula Decoder, Discover, and My Products.

Lucy keeps this conversation in your browser for 10 minutes after the last message, then clears it. That is not a saved chat history. A log of a turn may be kept for review.

For certain medical, pregnancy, self-harm, and emergency questions, Lucy shows a fixed safety message instead of an AI-generated answer. That message is not a substitute for professional or emergency care.

  • Lucy can be wrong. Answers are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or not suited to you. Lucy may misunderstand your question.
  • General information only. Lucy provides general educational and cosmetic information. It does not provide medical, dermatological, pharmaceutical, or other professional advice, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
  • No professional relationship. Using Lucy does not create a doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient, or any other professional relationship.
  • Talk to a professional first before acting on anything Lucy says if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding; take prescription or over-the-counter medications; are choosing products for a child; or have allergies, sensitive skin, or a skin or medical condition. Always patch-test a new product and stop using it if irritation occurs.
  • Check the label. Ingredient lists, sizes, prices, images, and other product information come from brand websites, retailers, and public databases such as Open Beauty Facts, and some of it is extracted automatically. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Always check the product's actual packaging and instructions, especially if you have allergies or sensitivities.
  • Not for emergencies. If you have a severe reaction, trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or think someone swallowed a product, call 911 or your local emergency number, or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 (US), right away. Do not use Lucy for emergencies.
  • Your responsibility. You decide whether and how to use any information from Lucy, and you do so at your own risk.
  • What you share. Don't enter sensitive personal health information you don't want processed. Questions you send to Lucy are processed by us and by third-party AI service providers to generate answers, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Products and orders

Product descriptions, prices, and availability may change and may contain errors; we may correct them and cancel affected orders. Results from skincare products vary from person to person. Product statements have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Purchases are also subject to our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Services. That includes breaking the law, interfering with or overloading the Services, scraping or reverse-engineering them, trying to get Lucy to produce harmful content, or using the Services to infringe anyone's rights.

5. Intellectual property

Some product data comes from Open Beauty Facts, which is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). The Services, including text, images, branding, and software, belong to Anvaira or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own non-commercial purposes. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.

5A. Third-party content, trademarks, and removal requests

Product names, brand names, and logos shown in the Services belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not mean those brands sponsor, endorse, or are affiliated with Anvaira. Product information is gathered from publicly available sources and third-party databases and is provided for reference only. If you own rights in content shown in the Services and want it corrected or removed, email operations@theanvaira.com with the content's location, your contact details, and the basis of your request. We review requests promptly and remove or correct content where appropriate. Copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act may be sent to our designated agent at the same address.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES, INCLUDING LUCY AND ALL CONTENT AND INFORMATION, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANVAIRA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LUCY'S ANSWERS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, SAFE FOR YOU, OR ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANVAIRA AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY LUCY OR THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Anvaira against claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

9. Disputes, arbitration, and class-action waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, you agree to email operations@theanvaira.com with your name, contact information, and a description of the dispute and the relief you want. We'll do the same if we have a claim against you. Both sides will try in good faith to resolve it informally for 60 days. Time limits for filing a claim are paused during this period.

Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve it informally, you and Anvaira agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, including Lucy, will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. The arbitrator decides all issues, except that a court decides questions about the scope, enforceability, or validity of the class-action waiver below. Arbitration may be held by video, by phone, on written submissions, or in the county where you live. For claims under $10,000 that you bring, we will pay the AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees beyond what you would pay to file in court, unless the arbitrator finds the claim frivolous.

Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and either side may go to court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.

CLASS-ACTION WAIVER. YOU AND ANVAIRA MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party and only as needed for that party's individual claim. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be heard in court, and not in arbitration.

Mass filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or group, they will be administered in batches of up to 25 at a time under the AAA's mass-arbitration rules, with one arbitrator per batch, and fees will be assessed per batch. You and we agree to cooperate in good faith to make this work.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing operations@theanvaira.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

Court venue. Any claim not subject to arbitration, and any court action to enforce an arbitration award, will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes. If we change this Section 9, the change will not apply to a dispute we already had notice of before the change.

Severability. If any part of this Section 9 is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, subject to the class-action waiver rule above.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. We'll change the version and effective date above and notify account holders of material changes on the site or by email. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept it. We may suspend or end access for violations of these Terms. Sections 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.

12. Use of the site

We measure how the site is used as described in the Privacy Policy. Necessary operation, security, and the requests you submit are recorded whether or not you accept optional cookies. Analytics that can be tied to a visitor id run only with analytics consent. Marketing measurement runs only with marketing consent, and not when Global Privacy Control is on.

You may upload an optional profile picture for display on your account and an optional skin journal photo for your private Lucid account. You can access an account journal photo after signing in on another device, download or remove it, and delete it with Lucid data. We do not analyze either photo or send it to Lucy. If Formula Decoder offers label-photo reading, you may choose a separate ingredient-label image and consent to sending it to an external AI service provider for text extraction. The returned text is a draft for your review, not a verified ingredient list or product formula. Other photographs, including images sent to Lucy or attached to feedback or problem reports, are not accepted.

We may publish de-identified totals with a minimum of 50 in a cell. We do not re-identify them.

Nothing here requires you to provide a health condition. Optional questions of that kind, if they are ever offered, stay off until you opt in.

Lucid keeps a short diagnostic trail in your browser while you use Lucid. It includes the pages you opened, controls you activated (their role, id, and label only), failed or slow requests (the path, status, and duration), script errors, slow page loads, and the id of a Lucy request. It does not include what you typed, what you said to Lucy, photos, emails, or sign-in secrets. The trail stays in your browser unless an error occurs, a Lucid request fails, Lucy cannot answer, you send feedback, you report a problem, or you mark an answer Not helpful. We then store it for 30 days, with a random diagnostic ID, and with your Lucid account id if you are signed in. A problem report also stores the short description you confirm, and a category if you choose one. Send feedback and Report a problem show that diagnostic ID. Deleting your Lucid data deletes this trail. This does not change the Shopify account, orders, or payments.

Permitted use of Lucid

You may browse Lucid and use Discover, Compare and Formula Decoder for ordinary personal purposes. These terms do not prohibit accessibility tools used to access the service, or search indexing that Anvaira has authorized and that respects applicable access instructions and technical limits.

Automated extraction and circumvention

Except with our prior written permission or to the extent applicable law permits, you must not use automated means to extract or harvest Lucid records in bulk, systematically reproduce the catalog or its compiled offerings, or bypass access controls or usage limits. This includes distributing extraction across accounts, sessions, addresses or other identities to evade those limits. Ordinary personal browsing and the permitted uses above are not bulk harvesting.

Original content and third-party material

Subject to applicable law, commercial reproduction, redistribution or reuse of original Anvaira or Lucid explanations, editorial content, or protectable selection and arrangement of compiled offerings requires our prior written permission, unless a stated license permits it. We do not claim ownership of public facts, ingredient names or declarations, or material owned by third parties. Third-party material remains subject to its own rights and licenses. Nothing in these terms limits rights or exceptions that applicable law gives you.

Permission requests

For permission to access records in bulk or reuse original Lucid content, contact operations@theanvaira.com and describe the intended use and scope.
