The base came first
We did not begin with saffron. We began with the feeling the oil had to leave behind.
A face oil can carry the rarest botanical in the world and still feel careless. The first ingredients determine most of what the hand remembers: how the formula moves, how long it lingers, whether it settles or sits. So the first brief was not “add saffron.” It was “make an oil that finishes like restraint.”
That decision is less romantic than a field at dawn. It is also the reason the field can belong in the bottle without being asked to do all the work.
This is how the house will be built: the experience first, the ingredient in service of it, and the claim last, only when evidence gives us the right to make it.
