Getting started
Getting started
Home is where you ask a question. Discover searches the catalog by product or brand.
Discover, Compare, and Formula Decoder stay available without an account. My Products, Routine, Insights, saved records, and a custom question for Lucy ask you to sign in.
Start on Home if you have a question, or choose Discover to search by product or brand. Open a product record to inspect the formula version, recorded ingredients, package details, and the sources Lucid can show. Unknown fields stay unknown.
You can browse public catalog records and use Compare or Formula Decoder as a guest. Sign in when you want to keep a collection, plan a routine, use personal Insights, or retain your own notes. If a page or lookup is unavailable, try its visible retry control or return to Discover; a failed lookup does not create a personal record.
Discover and compare
Formula Decoder
Paste an ingredient list to explore its recorded ingredients. When label-photo reading is available, a signed-in person may choose a separate ingredient-label image and consent to sending it through Lucid to an external AI service provider for text extraction.
Lucid does not save the original label image. Review and correct the returned text before using or saving an analysis; a label photo does not verify a product formula. Private journal photos are never sent for this reading.
Choose Paste INCI to enter an ingredient declaration. If Label photo is available, sign in, choose an image of the ingredient label, and agree to send that image to an external AI service provider for text extraction. Lucid strips embedded EXIF, location, and text metadata before sending it and does not save the original image in your account or the public catalog. The provider processes the image under its own data practices; Lucid does not control its retention period.
The extracted text opens as an editable ingredient list. Check each name and correct missing or mistaken text. You may then choose to save the reviewed text as an analysis. Journal photos remain private account records and are not used by this feature. If label reading is unavailable, paste the list instead.
Compare
Compare starts with two products and can add a third and a fourth. You can also paste ingredient lists.
Shared and different ingredients come from the recorded formulas. A share link is offered when those records can be shared.
Select two products to compare their recorded identities and ingredient lists. You may add a third or fourth product, or paste lists when a catalog record is unavailable. Read the shared and distinct names alongside each record’s version and source context.
A shared ingredient name alone says nothing about concentration or the whole formula. If a product’s list or version is missing, Compare shows that limit rather than filling it in. A share link is offered only when the selected records can be shared.
Scan barcode
Preview guidance · this feature is in the unreleased Lucid candidate and may not be on the public site yet.
Scan a package barcode or enter its digits on Discover or Add product. Lucid checks its own records first, then permitted barcode sources including Open Beauty Facts. A suggested brand, name, size, or image is an identity lead: confirm the package, variant, and market before using it. A barcode does not verify the ingredient list or formula.
If a record is missing, partly filled, ambiguous, or temporarily unavailable, search by name, retry, or enter the name and package details yourself. The barcode remains available for a manual submission. Lucid does not silently link an uncertain code to a published product or fill unknown ingredients.
Use Scan barcode on Discover or type the digits printed on the package. Check the suggested brand, product name, size, variant, and market against the item in your hand before choosing Yes, this is my product. You can choose another result or leave the suggestion unused.
An exact Lucid barcode can lead to a catalog record. A source may instead suggest an identity without a reviewed ingredient list or a confirmed link to Lucid. Missing ingredients, image, size, or market are shown as missing. If lookup fails or returns no usable match, retry later, search by name, or submit the package name and corrected details. Keep the barcode in the manual submission; confirmation never certifies a formula.
Find Twins
Preview guidance · this feature is in the unreleased Lucid candidate and may not be on the public site yet.
Find Twins compares listed ingredient names for products with a usable sourced ingredient list, role, and market. Source-preview lists can participate, but they have not been reviewed as Lucid formula records. Results show shared and differing names within a bounded search.
Ingredient overlap does not establish equal concentration, effect, safety, or suitability. If a product lacks a usable list or no match meets the overlap rules, Lucid explains that and you can compare recorded lists directly.
Open Find Twins from a product record. Lucid checks other published or source-preview records with usable sourced ingredient lists in the same recorded role and market, then presents the shared and different ingredient names. The search is bounded, so the results are not a claim to cover every product.
A source-preview list is still a source report, not a reviewed Lucid formula. If the selected record lacks a usable list, role, or market, or no candidate meets the rules, the screen explains the missing basis. Use Compare to inspect two recorded lists directly.
Brand country
Preview guidance · this feature is in the unreleased Lucid candidate and may not be on the public site yet.
When recorded, a flag and country name show the catalog brand-registry country. The registry entry has not been independently verified by Lucid. It does not state where a product was manufactured or sold.
An unknown or invalid country stays Not recorded with a globe symbol. Check a brand or package source if the country matters to your decision.
The Brand country field appears with product identity details and Compare when Lucid has a valid country entry in its brand registry. Read the flag as a label for that registry entry only. It is not independent verification of company domicile, manufacturing location, or sales market.
When the registry has no valid entry, Lucid displays a neutral globe and Not recorded. Other location fields on a product may describe its market or packaging source and should not be treated as substitutes for brand country.
Your workspace
Routine
Routine requires an account. Today shows the current routine. Calendar records routine check-ins and can open the private day journal for the selected date. Edit plan changes order and timing. History keeps earlier versions. The orbit view draws the current routine around products still waiting.
Products on a routine come from My Products. Account can show or hide routine streaks.
Add products to My Products before placing them in a routine. In Edit plan, arrange the order and time of steps. Today shows the current plan; Calendar holds recorded check-ins, and History keeps earlier plan versions so the earlier record remains available.
A routine check-in records what you chose to mark, not proof that a product was applied or effective. A private day-journal note on a calendar date is separate from notes on individual product steps. Routine streaks can be hidden from Account settings.
Daily check-ins and private journal
Preview guidance · this feature is in the unreleased Lucid candidate and may not be on the public site yet.
When the day journal is available, sign in to record how your skin feels, write a note, or add an optional photo. Home and the Routine calendar open the same dated entry. Skipped and missing days do not count as observations, and Lucid does not judge changes or causes.
Journal photos are saved to your private Lucid account and can be opened on another device after sign-in. Choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP smaller than 10 MB. You can replace, download, or remove a photo from its day entry. Journal photos are not analyzed by Lucy.
Earlier device-only photos stay in that browser until you choose Move local photos to my private account in Account settings. An existing account photo for the same date is not overwritten. The Account JSON export includes photo metadata, not photo files; download each photo separately. Delete Lucid data removes account journal photos and device-only photos in the browser where you perform deletion.
On Home, choose a feeling or select Write a note or add a photo. Open View history to revisit a date, edit its feeling or note, and add, replace, download, or remove that date’s photo. The Routine calendar opens the same dated journal entry. You may leave a day blank or skip it; Lucid does not turn either into a negative result.
The photo is optional and is kept with the signed-in Lucid account when account photo storage is available. The photo tools prepare an accepted image for storage; they do not ask Lucy to analyze it. If storage is unavailable, the screen reports that and day notes remain available.
If you have earlier device-only photos, use the explicit move control in Account. Review the reported moved and kept counts; an existing account photo on the same date is not replaced. To keep photo files yourself, download them one at a time before deleting data. The JSON export carries photo metadata, not the image bytes.
Weather context
Preview guidance · this feature is in the unreleased Lucid candidate and may not be on the public site yet.
When weather is enabled in Insights, current conditions can add context to your day. Lucid can use an approximate area from network metadata, a city you enter, or browser location only after you grant that permission. You can turn weather off or use a city instead.
Weather may be unavailable when the service is off or a lookup fails. Your product and routine Insights remain available. Weather context does not diagnose your skin or explain why it feels a certain way.
Open Insights to view weather context when the service is enabled. Approximate area can be inferred from network metadata without a browser location prompt. You can enter a city instead, or ask the browser to share location; if you decline, city entry and approximate context remain choices.
Turn off stops weather requests for that session. A disabled or unavailable weather lookup leaves the rest of Insights usable. Conditions are context for the day, not a diagnosis or an explanation of your skin journal entry.
Shelf
Your shelves, on My Products, group saved products. A shelf name must be unique and 1–60 characters. You can archive a shelf and restore it later.
Shelf search currently does not accept photo uploads. Search for a product by name or barcode, then confirm its identity before adding it.
Use shelves within My Products to group products you saved. Names must be unique and between 1 and 60 characters. Archive a shelf when you want it out of the current view; it can be restored later.
The shelf photo surface does not currently accept uploads. Search for each product and review the exact record, including package and formula details, before you add it to your collection.
My Products
My Products is the signed-in collection. The page reads Your collection. Add a product from the finder, and switch between cards and list.
A saved product can be marked using, owned, backup, or archived, and it can keep a use-by reminder. From the same page you can place it in the current routine.
The signed-in collection keeps the products you choose. Add one through the finder, then use card or list view to scan it. Mark a product using, owned, backup, or archived as appropriate to your own record; a status is not a claim about product quality.
Set a use-by reminder when you have a date to record, or place a saved product into your current routine. If a product is missing or its details are incomplete, search again or submit the package information rather than treating an unknown field as verified.
Lucy
Lucy
Lucy answers questions about skincare, ingredients, and Lucid. Signed in, she can open Lucid pages, count saved products, and list the use-by reminders you recorded. Guests can use the suggested questions. A custom question asks you to sign in, and private records are not read before that. If something in Lucid is not working, tell Lucy. She can offer to file a problem report, and it is not sent until you confirm. Lucy does not analyze private journal photos.
Lucy is AI and can get things wrong. Her tips are general skincare info, not medical advice.
For some medical, pregnancy, and emergency questions Lucy shows a fixed safety note instead of a generated answer. She does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice.
Just so you know, this is general info, not medical advice, and Lucy can make mistakes. Check with a doctor or pharmacist before trying it, especially if you're pregnant, nursing, on medication, or asking for a child. In an emergency, call 911 or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
Lucy can explain general skincare terms and help you navigate Lucid. Suggested questions are available to guests; a custom question requires sign-in. When a private record is not available to her for a reply, she should say so rather than imply she read it.
You can describe a problem in Lucid to Lucy. Review the report draft before confirming it; nothing is sent solely because you mentioned a problem. Lucy cannot accept chat photos or analyze private journal photos. Her replies are general information, and the fixed safety note takes over for some medical or urgent questions.
Account and privacy
Account and sign-in
Sign in from the toolbar. Account holds appearance, routine streaks, profile, the assistant name, reminders, and email choices. Sign out is on that page.
The account menu also opens notifications and what has changed. Account includes Report a problem.
Privacy, data deletion, legal, and copyright requests go to operations@theanvaira.com.
Open Account from the toolbar to review your profile and preferences, including appearance, reminders, routine-streak visibility, and email choices. Notifications and What’s New are also in the account menu. Sign out there when you are finished.
Personal records depend on the account and connection shown by Lucid. If sync reports a problem, use its retry control and check the account before assuming a change reached another device. Contact the listed support address for privacy, deletion, or legal requests.
Privacy and deleting your data
The Privacy Policy and Terms describe how information is handled. The points below explain the controls available in Lucid.
Privacy, data deletion, legal, and copyright requests go to operations@theanvaira.com.
On Account, Your Lucid data can download a JSON file of Lucid data and a CSV of routine history.
The JSON export includes journal photo metadata, but not the image files. Download each account photo from its day entry. Earlier photos kept only in this browser are not included in the account export.
Delete Lucid data asks you to review what will be removed, type DELETE LUCID, and then confirm. That removes Lucid data from this browser and, when cloud sync is connected, the cloud workspace and separately saved private records. It does not delete your Shopify account, orders, or payments.
Questions you ask Lucy while signed in are included in the JSON download, and Delete Lucid data removes them. Questions asked while signed out aren't linked to an account. To ask about those, email operations@theanvaira.com.
A stored diagnostic trail for this account is removed with Delete Lucid data.
In Account, use the JSON export for workspace records and available private account metadata. Use the routine CSV for routine history. Journal photo files are separate: download each from its day entry. Photos that remain only in a browser are not part of the account JSON file.
Before Delete Lucid data, review the scope and complete the confirmation phrase. This action concerns Lucid workspace and connected private records, including account journal photos; it does not delete the Shopify account, orders, or payments. Device-only photos are cleared in the browser where deletion runs. Keep any exports somewhere private before deleting.
Report a problem
Open Report a problem on this page, on Account, or beside a page that could not load. You can also tell Lucy that something in Lucid is not working. She can file a report from your words, and nothing is sent until you confirm.
Write a short description. A category is optional: page, scan, sign-in, Lucy, account, or something else.
Sending attaches a short diagnostic trail from this Lucid session: the pages you opened, a control’s role, id, and label, a failed or slow request path with its status and duration, a script error, a slow load, and a Lucy request id. It does not include what you typed, what you said to Lucy, photos, emails, or sign-in secrets. The confirmation shows a diagnostic ID. The description you confirm is stored with that trail.
Send feedback is the longer form. It also attaches the release, route, viewport, and enabled features. Notes, routines, orders, and identity details are not attached automatically.
You can also write to operations@theanvaira.com.
Choose Report a problem from Help or Account, or from a page error. Describe what happened and optionally select a category. Review the description and attached diagnostic summary before sending; the report is not submitted until you confirm.
The diagnostic trail describes page and control activity, failed or slow request paths, and errors. It excludes typed text, chat content, photos, emails, and sign-in secrets. Use Send feedback for a longer account of the issue, or email support when the page is unavailable.
